In recognition of Terry Heiner
Terry Heiner was a dedicated member of the Rare Breeds Trust of Australia. When Terry came across a newsletter of the Rare Breeds Trust he was
instantly in tune with its aims and took out a membership. Terry believed it was important to maintain a wide variety of animal bloodlines for future generations to appreciate the diversity of the animal world and the diversity of the produce of farmed animals. He and his life partner would buy small goods, cheeses, yoghurt and the like from rare breed producers to support their ventures.
Travel was something Terry loved and whether travelling around Australia, New Zealand or visiting his extended family in the Pacific Northwest, USA, it always included visits to zoos, farms and national parks to view animals in their natural habitat.
The Terry Heiner Youth Grant Funding Program is made possible through a generous bequest from Terry Heiner's estate.
