It's back! Much excitement after a few years break for this rodeo's return - and it's the last rodeo of the 2025 season of the National Rodeo circuit - so the last chance to see some good stock and brave riders until next season. The Caves is only 25k from Rockhampton - a very scenic area of central Queensland.
Food available after gates open at 1.30pm. Rodeo starts at 3pm. Plenty for the family with a petting zoo, face painting, market stalls, and more! Barrel racing too!
Several rare breeds have found survival as rodeo horses and cattle, where interest is sparked seeing them in public and people seek out the breed, thus saving it; so there may be an interesting mix of breeds or purebreds at the Caves too. Rodeo stock are looked after very well - after all do 8 seconds work only, and are perfectly tractable when not at work.
