Tas Rare Breeds Poultry Club Show

Their famous annual show - a tremendous opportunity to view and display rare poultry breeds. Generous prizes of cash and sponsor products.

AOC (Any Other Colour) classes. Also AORC (Any Other Recognised Colour. Wonderful to see Junior classes, and Novice classes - the altter being for adults over 25 years old who've never won a major prize. Egg classes, may be from any breed, and painted egg classes too.

Lovely long list of fowl breeds, including the fabulous AVGEN breeds brought to Australia in the past decade; fowl in soft feather, hard feather and bantam breeds.

Website has a useful list of exclusion breeds - those not considered rare for showing. Lovely list of breeds in Waterfowl - ducks and geese. The Forest & Field section is for turkeys and guinea fowl.
